Lowestoft South - Jamie Starling

Born and raised in Lowestoft, his family has lived in the area for many, many years. James was educated in Kirkley, and is employed by the NHS.

James was a member of Waveney District Council from 2004 to 2013, serving on the Scrutiny committee (keeping the cabinet to account); the Standards Committee (ensuring the other councillors maintain sound ethical standards); and Chairing the Audit & Risk committee (reviewing governance procedures within the Council). Presently, Jamie is the Suffolk County Councillor for the Kirkley, Whitton and Carlton areas.

Lowestoft South - Jenny Ceresa

Jenny has been the Suffolk County Councillor for Lowestoft South since 2017 and lives in Kirkley, where she runs her own business. She is an integral member of the Development and Regulation Committee – which secured The Third Crossing – Gull Wing Bridge. Jenny is the Vice-Chairman of Planning Committee North which has been involved with securing the Flood Defences for Lake Lothing.

Kessingland and Southwold - Michael Ladd

Michael has been involved in local issues for many years and after being elected to Southwold Town Council in 1990 he has been Mayor on four occasions. Michael was a Waveney District Councillor from 2011 until 2019 and was Cabinet member for Economic Development and Tourism.

Haverhill East and Kedington - David Roach

David worked for Royal Mail for 35 years before taking early retirement in 2012. Having retired has given him the opportunity to devote time to the role of Councillor and representing the residents in our part of Suffolk.

He has served on Haverhill Town Council since 2013 and West Suffolk Council from 2015 to date and Suffolk County Council since 2017.

Hartismere - Jessica Fleming

Jessica is delighted to represent the people of the Hartismere division. Jessica has been a Suffolk resident since 2003 when she moved from Colorado, USA where she had spent 20 years working mainly on Government programmes (Environmental Protection and Defence).

Hadleigh - Mick Fraser

Originally from London, Mick has lived in Suffolk with his family since 2002.  He previously had a full career serving in the Army, and retains those military links by training today’s military engineers. Mick was elected to the County Council for the Hadleigh Division in 2017 and is currently the council’s Armed Forces Covenant Board representative.

Great Cornard - Peter Beer

Peter has served the residents of Great Cornard for over 36 years on local councils. Over the years he has campaigned for the Sudbury Bypass; the New Health Centre; new Thomas Gainsborough School; better infrastructure throughout Cornard; pedestrian crossings; and road re-surfacing to Phillips Field Road.

Framlingham - Stephen Burroughes

Stephen is delighted to be standing for election as your Conservative candidate for the Framlingham division. Stephen knows local government faces both challenges and opportunities but feel that it is in our best interests to work together for the good of our communities and at the same time help communities to develop and grow.

Felixstowe North - Stuart Bird

Stuart Bird has lived in Suffolk all his life, firstly in Ipswich until aged 28, and in Felixstowe for another 28 years. He is single but has a large extended family in the area. He has worked in a number of occupations, most recently in financial services.

Felixstowe Coastal - Steve Wiles

Steve has the great pleasure of living in the beautiful seaside town of Felixstowe. In 2017, he was elected as a County Councillor, giving him the opportunity to represent the town in county matters. He is also proud to represent the Council on “Felixstowe Forward”.
