Stuart Bird - Felixstowe North

I have lived in Felixstowe since 1993. Before that, I lived in Ipswich for 28 years – it’s also the town where I was born. I am single, but I have a large extended family in the area.

I have been the County Councillor for Felixstowe North and Trimley since 2017. My Division covers the part of Felixstowe north of Maidstone bridge and west of Beatrice Avenue, and the two Trimley villages.

I have also been a Town Councillor since 2011, now representing Felixstowe Port Ward. I have been a District Councillor, also since 2011, representing Western Felixstowe on East Suffolk Council. I sit on the Scrutiny Committee at the County and I am Chairman of the Scrutiny Committee at East Suffolk. I am also Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee at the Town Council.

I have always been passionate about politics and I am also Branch Chairman of Felixstowe Conservatives. I stood for election as I am committed to Conservative ideals and beliefs. As a Councillor, I enjoy representing my constituents and helping to achieve a solution to the problems they bring to me. Outside of my life as a Councillor, I enjoy reading, particularly history, and walking.
