I was born in Malta in 1957 and I am widely travelled, having visited over 100 countries. I hold a BSc degree from Sheffield university and an MBA from Lancaster university.
I am an accountant who has specialised in airline pricing and revenue management – a subject I have taught at City University in London on an MSc programme. I have also taught courses in Statistics and Operational Research on an MSc programme in Airline Management at Cranfield University.
I was elected to the County Council in 2017 to represent the Mildenhall division. I currently serve as the Deputy Cabinet Member for Highways Strategy, and Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee. On Forest Heath District Council, I served as Chairman of the Performance and Audit Scrutiny Committee for three years. On Mildenhall Parish Council, I served as Chairman of their Recreation Management Committee.
My main concerns for Suffolk relate to finance and transportation. For example, how we can fund the ever-growing need for social care, and how we can maintain our highways infrastructure in the most cost-efficient and financially sustainable way. My main concern for Mildenhall is the town’s long-term economic future, given the US Air Force plans to pull out of RAF Mildenhall in 2027. I want to see mixed-use development (industry and housing) for the RAF Mildenhall site, so that it continues to provide jobs for local residents in the future.
