Provisional GCSE results, released on 16 October 2018 by the Department of Education, illustrate that 1% more students in Suffolk are achieving the expected standards in English and Maths compared with last year.
On 8 October 2018, Suffolk County Council launched its annual budget consultation. The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 16th November 2018. Resident are being asked to give their views on the services provided by the council as it faces the challenge of making savings of £25 million in 2019/2020.
The 3rd annual Suffolk Care Home Olympics starts in October 2018. The purpose of the competition is to give care home residents a fun and enjoyable experience of sport whilst also highlighting the importance of physical activity within social care settings.
