Yesterday Suffolk Conservatives passed a motion asking that the Leader of the Council and the Chief Executive write to all Suffolk MPs and the Department for Transport to confirm that Network Rail has the focus and resources at the right time, to deliver the necessary improvements to the infrastructure in collaboration with Greater Anglia.
Suffolk County Council met on 23rd November to discuss continuing talks with Government to achieve a devolution deal for Suffolk. This comes in the wake of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Council voting down the original Norfolk and Suffolk Deal.
Provisional figures which have been published by the Department for Education show an increase in Suffolk children achieving a Good Level of Development in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) results. The assessments recognise children’s achievements in the EYFS. This includes key areas of learning and development such as communication and language; physical development; and personal, social and emotional development.
